The Ministry of Education has decided to continue assignments and assessments to identify students’ weaknesses and problems. This activity will have to start from March 20 in every educational institution. This instruction has been given in the notification of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education (Maushi) on Wednesday (March 10). It said assignments would be given on the website of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education two days before the start of each week. At the end of the week, students will complete their assignments or assignments and submit new assignments (directly or online) to the educational institution.
The instructions further said that assignments and assessments will be done in the light of the restructured syllabus for sixth to ninth class. Class activities have been closed in the country’s educational institutions since March 16 last year. As a result, the curriculum scheduled for the 2021 academic year has not been started. For this reason, in order to continue the learning process of the students by rearranging the curriculum and syllabus, arrangements have been made for continuous assessment through assignments or scheduled assignments in 2021 academic year like last year.
Besides, the students have been asked to mark the strengths and weaknesses in the notebook and record it. Meanwhile, the department has banned students from doing assignments by looking at note-guides. It has also been informed that it will be canceled if the note-guide is seen.
Through this assessment, the strengths and weaknesses of the students will be identified and necessary steps will be taken later. Their learning outcomes will be assessed through assignments or assigned assignments. Assignments or assignments are based on what students will be assessed in a given week based on the rearranged curriculum.
